Step 1: Open Notesmakr App
Launch the Notesmakr app on your device and make sure you're signed in to your account.
Tip: Make sure you've exported any important data before proceeding.
Important Warning
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
- All your notes, flashcards, quizzes, and mind maps will be permanently deleted
- Your audio recordings and transcriptions will be removed
- You cannot recover your data after deletion
- You cannot re-register with the same email address
Note: Deleting your account will NOT automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through the App Store or Google Play Store.
How to Delete Your Account
Step 2: Navigate to Settings
Tap on the Settings icon () located in the bottom navigation bar or main menu.
Bottom Bar → Settings
Step 3: Scroll to Account Section
In the Settings page, scroll down to find the Account section.
Look for the option labeled "I want to delete my account" or "Delete Account".
Step 4: Tap "I want to delete my account"
Click on the red button that says "I want to delete my account".
Warning: This button appears in red to indicate the serious nature of this action.
Step 5: Review the Confirmation Dialog
A confirmation dialog will appear showing:
- What data will be permanently deleted
- Important warnings about the deletion
- A reminder to cancel your subscription separately
Read carefully: Make sure you understand all the consequences before proceeding.
Step 6: Confirm Subscription Cancellation
Check the box that confirms:
"I have/will cancel via [App Store/Play Store]"
This is required to ensure you understand that deleting your account does NOT cancel your subscription.
Step 7: Type "DELETE" to Confirm
In the text field provided, type the word DELETE (in all caps) to confirm you want to proceed.
Type:
DELETEStep 8: Click "Delete Forever"
Once you've checked the confirmation box and typed "DELETE", the red "Delete Forever" button will become active.
Click this button to permanently delete your account.
This is your last chance to cancel. After clicking this button, your account will be deleted immediately and permanently.
Step 9: Wait for Deletion to Complete
The app will show a loading indicator while your account is being deleted. This may take a few moments.
Once complete, you'll be automatically signed out and redirected to the sign-in screen.
How to Cancel Your Subscription
For iOS (Apple App Store):
- 1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
- 2. Tap your name at the top
- 3. Tap Subscriptions
- 4. Find and tap Notesmakr
- 5. Tap Cancel Subscription
For Android (Google Play Store):
- 1. Open the Google Play Store app
- 2. Tap the menu icon () and select Subscriptions
- 3. Find and tap Notesmakr
- 4. Tap Cancel subscription
- 5. Follow the on-screen instructions
Note: After cancellation, you'll retain premium access until the end of your current billing period.
